Itinerary of Trekking to Mount Tambora Sumbawa 6 days.
Arrival day on Lombok Island :
We will pick you up at the airport or anywhere else on the island of Lombok with private vehicles , drive about 2 hours to reach the hotel in Sembalun or elsewhere in agree to the . After arriving at the hotel and check in our guide will complete explain the program to climb Mount Tambora, then stay and overnight at hotel.
Day 1 Lombok Island to Desa Pancasila :
Program Tambora Trekking 6 days start from Sembalun or elsewhere on the island of Lombok, we pick you up at hotel and heading to Labuan Lombok the Ferry harbour by private vehicle about 2 hours . From Labuan Lombok to Labuan Tanu by Ferry 2,5 hour, then drive to Sumbawa besar for 2 hours and have lunch here. After lunch continue to Desa Pancasila for 6 hour on Car, we stop at Simpang Sila for coffee break and Kadindi for dinner then overnight at guest house at Desa Pancasila.
Day 3 climb to Mount Tambora :
After breakfast 8:00 am at Guest House we walk to Mount Tambora Basecamp for register and pay the entrance fee for climbing Mount Tambora. At 8 am we start to climb Mount Tambora to Post 3 will take about 6 hours normal walk. After an hour of walking , we will begin to enter the forest and stop at Post 2 for lunch. Have finished lunch and adequate rest we proceed to Post 3 next journey up and down the field through open forest , reed and brush . Open trek and in the middle of the journey before reaching the post 3 , we can see the lip of the crater area of Mount Tambora in the distance. After 3 hours of walking we arrived at Pos 3 and stay the night in tents .
Day 4 Climbing to summit of Mount Tambora :
After a cup of coffee or hot tea with toast 2:00 am in the morning we started the climb to the Peak of Mt. Tambora bring enough food preparation and water, while other equipment that is left on the post 3 .
Climb to the top we have to be careful because a lot of other ways we ride through the roots of plants , plant thorny bushes along the lines Post 3 through postal 5, Post 4 we passed within 2 hours from post 3 , continue to climb to post 5 and rest while for second breakfast with some biscuits , coffee or tea here .
After breakfast climb to the summit of Tambora we continue in very open field and begin to climb the sand hardens , about 1.5 hours we will reach the top of Tambora 2850 m above sea level .
During the hour in the peak of Mount Tambora enjoy the view and take pictures of the crater of Mount Tambora is famous worldwide for the eruption of Mount Tambora very large craters with around 30 km , the diameter of 7 km and a depth of 1.2 km , and is also the largest crater , and deepest in the world . Satisfied enjoy the beauty of nature on the highest peak on the island of Sumbawa , our journey back to post 3 and spend the night there .
Day 5 Post 3 to Sumbawa Besar :
Pkl 8:00 am after breakfast finished we walked for 5 hours down to Pancasila village and have lunch here. After lunch and take shower at Pancasila Village we will continue back to Sumbawa Besar for 6 hours drive and check in Hotel at Hotel Kencana, diner then go to bed.
Day 6 Sumbawa Besar to Lombok Island :
After breakfast at the hotel we continue the journey back to Lombok via Labuan Tanu the Ferry harbour to Labuan Kayangan Lombok and we drive you to your next destination in Lombok Island. finish trip
